Su’t
San Antonio Aguas Calientes, Sacatepéquez
This 1927 Su’t or multipurpose cloth is antique and very special for its aesthetics, color and craftmanship.
It was woven with cotton on a backstrap loom and consists of two canvases also joined by hand.
Its attractive shapes and patterns are made with the fascinating brocade technique called double faced supplementary weft, which is unique from Aguas Calientes.
