Huipil
San Juan Atitán, Huehuetenango
Linguistic Community: Mam

The colors in this huipil are characteristic of the community and the time: the background features purple, blue, red, and white stripes. It is made with three cloth panels sewn together by hand. It is characterized by the combination of patterns: in the upper parts of the cloth panels, there are floral and geometric designs in intense purple tones that contrast with the stripes in the background. The lower part has fringes.
